Close to 9,500 visitors were at BroadcastAsia2009 on 16 – 19 June 2009. The key attraction at this year’s exhibition was Panasonic’s High-Definition (HD) 3D mini theatre which drew a constant string of viewers and had many people talking about 3D in HD broadcasting as the new frontier. |

VISITORS
9,447 visitors came from 92 countries to network, purchase and source at BroadcastAsia2009. Despite a modest attendance as compared to 2008, these buyers came with a focus and budget and many concluded deals at the event. We are starting a TV station and we are visiting BroadcastAsia with our production and engineering teams to purchase products. We have seen a virtual studio, some cameras and equipment. We’ve ordered some equipment and we here to finalise the orders.

I am here to compare the pricing of editing, production and postproduction products. We distribute a wide range of products for the broadcast industry. The technologies are innovative, we’ve even met potential customers at the show and I’ll definitely visit the show again next year.

I have been a regular visitor to BroadcastAsia & CommunicAsia for many years. Each year, I look forward to the show as I am able to catch up with old industry friends as well as make new contacts besides evaluating the new trends in emerging technologies. The show organiser has done a great job and I will definitely be back again next year! |

My time at BroadcastAsia has always been well-spent and this year is no different. I met some new vendors from France and was impressed with what they had to offer. I will likely take discussions with them further. It is great that I am able to meet international exhibitors at a place that is not too far from home. |

Visitors to our booth this year have come very focused. They have been a mix of new folks, those we have been talking to earlier and those who have come recommended to us with serious projects. We are very happy with the quality of visitors.

This show has been very good for my company. We deal with very niche products catering to post-production companies. I have met potential customers from Japan, Korea, India…all my key markets. This shows that BroadcastAsia is truly an international event that attracts international visitors

BroadcastAsia2009 is a good show for us. We got to meet the right people from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore as well as from the neighbouring countries. We are pleased and will be back next year. At this year’s show, there are some encouraging signs that more people in the region are embracing broadcast IT technology.

While Mediavillage has always remained focused towards a niche target market, exhibiting at BroadcastAsia has helped expose us to new customers. This is our 4th year participating in BroadcastAsia, and it has become an integral part of Mediavillage’s strategy in its branding efforts.
